Something stuck me as profound about this little tempest in a teapot.  He just telegraphed to the whole world how weak and unsure he is about his presidency.

The Irony of Joe the Plumber.

Recently, the figure known as “Joe the Plumber” (Joe Wurzelbacher) took a job as a network correspondent on Fox, covering troops in the field.  Liberals are just utterly aghast at the prospect.

The liberal sentiment to people like Sarah Palin and Joe the Plumber is basically, “why don’t you just go away and shut up!”

The Great Depression, Make-work, Psychology, and Economics.

I’m sure if you’ve been watching the talking heads on TV, you’re probably getting your fair share of Great Depression hysteria.  The thing that advances the story is that we’re slipping into the next Great Depression.  It’s a load of crap.

So, let’s talk about the Great Depression.

What most people fail to understand is that there were two key things that drove the Great Depression: the European fall-out from WWI, and the Dust Bowl.  They also fail to understand that it wasn’t the policies of Franklin Roosevelt that got us out of the Great Depression.

McCain picks his vice-presidential candidate: Sarah Palin.  And it takes no more than a few hours for the attacks to begin.

Relatively unknown, Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska who, by all accounts, is not only a government reformer, but a all-out conservative on all fronts.  So, what do I read on the Internet today?
