Not too long ago, I posted on Barack Obama’s legislative record as an Illinois State Senator. Well, I have an addendum.
The more you dig into something, the more you tend to uncover.
Sometimes, you can’t make this kind of stuff up. Rep. Steven Cohen (D-TN) said from the floor of the House of Representatives:
I submit to you, Mr. Speaker, that the parties have differences, but if you want change, you want the Democratic Party. Barack Obama was a community organizer like Jesus, who our minister prayed about. Pontius Pilate was a governor.
Ok, I’ve got the script to a perfect TV ad for the McCain campaign. I was sitting there on the toilet (true story), and it hit me: The perfect John McCain ad! Here’s the script:
The first thing you need to know about this is that most liberals view the government (or the state) as the sole source of wealth. This is contrary to the philosophy of the Founding Fathers, who believed that, in essence, individuals are the source of all property. We all identify things as food, clothing, and land as property, as these are tangible assets. Money too (in fact, all wealth) is considered property.
Author’s note: I’m not used to this system, and I’m still getting comfortable with the WordPress administration interface. So, this being posted on it’s own page was a screw-up. This is an older post that I’m moving to the correct spot. Many apologies.
I thought I’d bring up this little tidbit about Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley, in the LA Times:
So, I’m watching the McCain acceptance speech on Thursday evening, and what do I hear the man pull out as an energy promise? The Electric Car. I merely rolled my eyes.
One of the biggest frauds perpetrated by the environmental movement is the wonder of the electric car. Not that an all-out electric car that matches the performance of a standard gasoline or diesel-powered vehicle isn’t possible. It just isn’t possible over the next eight years. Or, at least, I don’t see it.
Maybe it’s my bias. But my bias exists for a reason.
