Joe Biden Strikes Again!

There are times when you just have to wonder where Barack’s head was when he selected Joe Biden.

I mean: seriously.

Recently, Obama went on the attack, accusing John McCain of “sealing my lines.”  Here’s video of the clip:

The most important part of Obama’s criticism of McCain in this speech was as follows:

On Tuesday, he said the government should stand aside and allow one of the nation’s largest insurers AIG, to collapse, I mean he said this in three different interviews despite the possibility that it would put millions of Americans at risk…

I have to give Obama credit on this – he’s right.  McCain is shifting positions.  Then again, can someone tell me Obama’s position?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Bueller?

I’m not the only one to notice this:

Anyhow, The Nazarine might have had a good, solid criticism of McCain had it not been for the intervention of Joe Biden, and the sudden activation of his Wondertwins powers.  You know, the one where he takes the shape of a politician that rams his foot violently into his mouth?  Here’s what Joe Biden said on MSNBC (Must Strive to Nominate Barack Corporation) about the AIG bail-out:

No, I don’t think they (AIG) should be bailed out by the federal government. I’ll tell you what we should do. We should try to correct the problems that caused this. And what’s caused this? The profligate tax cuts to the very, very wealthy that John wants to continue. What’s caused this is the failure to have regulation so that, in fact — John talks about these CEOs getting these big bailout packages. Well, why didn’t he support the legislation we have been proposing that says that if you’re going to declare bankruptcy, you’ve got to throw the CEO in the mix as well as everybody else? Why didn’t he support the proposals that we have to allow in bankruptcy a federal bankruptcy judge to renegotiate the principal of your mortgage? Why didn’t he do something to help the middle-class people who are hurting very badly? Is their government and it’s this government’s policies that have caused them to get in great trouble.

As if the middle-class people are going to hand over whatever they get back from the government to AIG, to prevent them from going under?  What the hell is this guy talking about?  Judges to renegotiate mortgages?  Is he out of his frickin’ mind?  Why bother having people sign contracts in the first place?

Anyhow…it’s clear someone got to Joe, because he backtracks almost overnight:

To John McCain, Joe Biden is the gift that just keeps on giving.  I’ll leave you with a Joe Biden moment that will probably go down in history:

(Stand up Chuck, and let me see you!)
